## The project

VoxWrite (voxwrite.app) is a voice-to-text Chrome extension with AI post-processing, built by GigLabo. Industry: Extensions. Worldwide. Budget: $5,000. Duration: 1 month with 2 team members.

Instead of typing, fixing mistakes and rewriting messy notes, the user talks and VoxWrite turns the speech into clear, polished text usable right away on any website — emails, posts, reports, notes, ideas, to-dos, plans, newsletters.

This was a full-cycle product development: the browser extension itself, then a marketing and service website where users learn about the product, sign up and manage accounts, then a payment system, then a custom processing API on the backend tying extension, website and payments into one workflow.

## Challenges

- **Chrome extension architecture** — understanding how content scripts, background scripts, permissions and the messaging between them fit together.
- **Microphone handling** — browser permissions, stable audio capture, and behaving well across user scenarios without hurting performance or privacy.
- **Two purchase models** — BYOK (bring your own key to an AI provider) alongside a managed SaaS option, which added development time.
